Backbone™
 The NetProphets' retail practice is a soon to be launched, unique, integrated retail software package, Called Backbone™. Our product rollout is slated for later this year in 2008 and we expect this launch to change the contours of IT implementation in the Retail Sector.
Targeted to small and medium sized busineses, Backbone™ will be a unique integrated retail sofware package, recognising and addressing the key challenges faced by this business sector.
These challenges are:
a. Need for scale as these brands expand their networks within India.
b. Need to cut back on continous enhancement and migration costs.
c. Need to optimise the maintenance costs by a judicious mix of in-house and outsourced commissions.
d. Need to focus on their core business without having to spend millions on the management of outsourced project and programming teams.
Finally, we all recognise that technology is dynamic and change being the only constant in this dynamic environment can be a very expensive affair. Backbone™ manages this change, by allowing itself to change without incurring current levels of heavy new investments.
The current user model
Our model will also enable users of existing software to migrate over to our new installation, within specified parameters. For both, new and existing customers, we will be accountable for ensuring accuracy of input data, ensure reporting as per user-requirements and build custom intelligence and reporting systems, other than those bespoken in our installation packs.
Launch Plans
We will offer Process consulting, Data Analytics and RFID consulting to specific customers as value added features rolled out in versions over the launch version. Wait for this announcement later this year in 2008! Or, write to us indicating an interest towards an early presentation.
